Welcome
Noel's interest in writing started after leaving school, working on the farm, recording and describing his personal experiences and his observations of country life. Gradually, these efforts led into poetry and the writing of a first novel, yet unpublished, which celebrated the work on a farm, woven by the changing seasons. In his three collections of poetry, Noel's love of Northumberland's landscape, people and events are drawn from the present day and the past. Rich in history, his homeland is a constant source of inspiration, resulting in his latest book, "Heron's Flight", a tale of Flodden, 1513.
